Claire & Bryan have been waiting for this day for a long time. And now that it has finally arrived they were going to enjoy every second of it!

They got married at the beautiful The Moon & Sixpence. A firm favourite of mine.

You are an awesome couple Bryan & Eva. It was such a privilege to spend the day with you.

Here is their STORY!

2002, Northgate ice rink: this was the day that our paths would cross for the very first time, and not the only time. It was the day that triggered a series of events to follow, and unbeknown to us, the day we would find our soulmate. From then on, a beautiful friendship grew into love, a feeling that never left us. Just 15 and 18 years old, we had found true love. After a year of dating, we found ourselves heartbroken, we didnā€™t want to break up and the 11 years that followed proved that we never stopped loving each other. During these 11 yearā€™s our paths had crossed often, and even though we were in two different provinces, we always found a way to reconnect and keep a strong, caring friendship. A friendship filled with honest advice, silly nights of playing pool and flirting, finding excuses to go for coffee, sending the annual Birthday message, talking about our goals in life, missed opportunities to steal a kiss. Every time, there was an excuse to spend time together and just enjoy each otherā€™s company.

2012 marked the year that we were finally in the same city, to stay. We had both found ourselves single, and this was the perfect opportunity to see what would grow from our friendship.

2013, 11 years later, Bryan got down on one knee, tied his shoe lace and then asked Claire to be his girlfriend. From here, we never looked back. We started a home together, weā€™ve spent long hours on our balcony talking about big life things and the silly things; we say ā€œI love youā€ all the time because we mean it; weā€™ve laughed at each other uncontrollably, weā€™ve had breakdowns that lead to bringing each other up, we have each otherā€™s back through thick and thin and have come out even closer.

2016, Cape Point Vineyards (quite the upgrade from an ice rink), and 2 bottles of beautiful wine down the hatchet, (unknown to Claire, this was Bryanā€™s ā€œDutch courageā€), Bryan got down on one knee again, but this time not to tie his shoe lace. From that day on, we promised each other our lives, a life filled with exactly the same friendship and love, but on a whole new level. We watched the sunset as the wind died down in perfect timing, both truly happy, knowing that we could now enjoy each otherā€™s company for the rest of our lives.

Our story is not the normal love story: girl meets boy, fall in love, get engaged and then marry. Our story is one that has lasted half our livesā€“ one of friendship, trying times, amazingly good times, one of strength, persistence, and just plain undying love and friendship ā€“and realising that there was a reason why we had always kept in touch.

There is not one day that passes, that we donā€™t count our lucky stars because we have each found our soul mate and best friend. We look up to each other, and together know that we can do this thing called, ā€œlifeā€.

We were always meant to be together.

Saying ā€œI doā€ only confirms a love and friendship that has always been there.
