Zambezi Point in Pretoria

It was my first time as a wedding photographer at Zambezi point…and I thoroughly enjoyed photographing Deon & Dalize’s wedding there. I specifically liked the many photo opportunities there. Have a look at the photos taken at the old cars, all put there for the bride and groom’s photo session. And the church is just gorgeous, I love any church where there is a balcony to photograph from.

I only met Deon & Dalize at the wedding, there was just never time in their schedule to meet me. I must say, when Dalize phoned me I just knew that I have to photograph their wedding, she has such a bubbly personality…and that ALWAYS make for good photos. All their friends and family are exactly like them, spontaneous outgoing people. I enjoyed socialising with all of them.

And Dalize’s dad’s speech! WOW! I must admit…I cried!

All and all a really special wedding that will be remembered for a long time by their friends and family

I asked Dalize a couple of questions about their wedding:

How did you meet?

We met at Deon’s best friend’s sister’s 21st party.

Tell us about the proposal:

Deon proposed to me on the 12/12/12. We were flying down to Cape Town to visit my parents. On our way there he was acting very strange. He was completing crossword puzzles, which he has never done before. I really thought something was wrong, anyway as we were getting our luggage he disappeared for a few seconds. I thought it was very strange. So on our way out he said that he needed to tie his shoe lase. I thought that so strange as he had shoes on without shoe lases. Anyway he then got on his one knee and proposed to me in front of all the people in the airport. Everyone started clapping hands. It was real special

Describe your wedding day, anything specific that you will always remember-

Our wedding day was beyond perfect. Everyone had such a great time. ,The speeches was unbelievable. As we were driving on our way to the chapel, my flower girl (Alissa) my dad and I started dancing in the car while listing to the 80’s.Alissa was so cute that after one verse of a song she will start to sing with me, even though she didn’t know the song. That helped me allot with the nerves. The other part that was amazing was our first dance and the father daughter dance.

The dress-

I bought my dress at EuroBride in Bryanstan and my belt was designed by Ondina Kuhn

The Flowers-

The flowers was done by Gerda from ZambeziPoint

 Highlight of the wedding– Everything
