You get special people, and then you get Jeff and Carrie Scarborough and their family.
Everyone wants a special wedding. But few couples go to the lengths that Jeff and Carrie did. They flew to South Africa with their closest family to get married here.
Their special day was at the beautiful, no, make that extraordinary beautiful, Camp Jabulani in the Kapama Private Game reserve near Hoedpruit.
An unconventional couple, and an unconventional wedding.
As the sun was setting over the South African bushveld Carrie walked to where Jeff and the family were waiting for her. Right next to a big waterhole. Game rangers were on guard to make sure none of the big 5 in the game reserve spoils the wedding.
And as if this scene wasn’t special enough. A big fully grown African elephant named Sebakwe brought the rings in and handed it over to the couple.
After the wedding, everyone was having some snacks and drinks under a tree. We all watched a herd of elephants walking past the waterhole. The golden sun touched the horizon.
Africa at it’s best.
Jeff and Carrie had their dream wedding.
And nobody that was there will ever forget the day.
