Andries and Lauhrese’s love story started in August 2013 at church. Lauhrese was involved with organising a hobo party for a church fundraising event. She was standing at the door handing out steel plates and cups to the people arriving that bought tickets. One of these people that bought tickets for the function was Andries. They saw each other, smiles, and as Lauhrese said…it was love at first sight! Regardless of the fact that they were both dressed as hobos!
A month later they officially became a couple when Andries asked her to be his girlfriend.
They got engaged on 17 June 2016. Andries took Lauhrese to Ballito for a holiday. Just before lunch one day Andries suggested they must have a picnic on the beach. He “accidentally” forgot the cold drink and asked Lauhrese and her mom to go and buy some. When they left he wrote on the sand. “Will you marry me” and covered it with a blanket. When Lauhrese returned he pulled away the blanket and went down on his one knee and asked the big question. The answer was yes…and Lauhrese could start planning her dream wedding.
They got married at the beautiful Motozi Lodge near the Hartbeespoortdam. This is one of my favorite wedding venues in Gauteng. Laura and her team always do their utmost to keep their couples happy.
Thanks for choosing me as your wedding Photographer. I had an awesome day with you guys.
