If your bride and groom are two beautiful people like Malerie and Maritz, and they are getting married at a beautiful venue like Makiti in Krugersdorp then there is not much that can go wrong from a photographic point of view.
They are also two very friendly and VERY confident people. A GOOD match. I’d love to see their children, they are going to have beautiful babies.
Pastor Jaco was his own brilliant self, I haven’t heard him in a while at a wedding, so I actually couldn’t remember quite how good he is. The people at the wedding was hanging onto every word he said. And if you write about a pastor on a wedding blog you must know the guy is exceptional.
With people like Malerie and Maritz who have a zest for life the party was always going to be a lot of fun.

I asked Malerie a few questions about her wedding:
How did you meet?
We met in his band room when I went with a friend. He came out the shower in his towel – love at first sight haha
Tell us about the proposal
It was insanely romantic, we were in Mozambique with family and friends, before it got dark he asked me to go watch the sunset with him so we walked up the dune watching the sun set over the sea and he was standing behind me holding me, he then asked how much do I love him, which is an inside joke we have; I answered him and he was quiet, I then asked him the same question. He remained quiet and I asked again starting to feel uneasy, next thing he started to pull away from me no longer holding me, here I was really wondering if he was trying to end it with me! I spun around to find him on bended knee under the sunset in the sand holding the most beautiful ring; and he asked me to marry him. I responded ‘” thousand times yes”. Then we joined the family, he had arranged with his dad to photograph the whole thing, and our best friends and celebrated
It was beyond perfect!
Describe your wedding day
Everything I really wanted happened, the venue (Makiti) is so stunning! Magically we were even running on time which is a first for me. It went really fast but we tried to absorb every moment and celebrate as much as possible with our friends and family, there is an enormous amount of photos that happen on your wedding day, and it kind of felt like it was jam packed with all the activities, dancing and throwing of garter and flowers and cake cutting, but it was sooo much fun, and we had some fun surprises with the music, the dances and the game
The dress
OMW the dress is everything I had pictured and wanted forever, ivory, covered in a big lace with another layer of different lace underneath, it hugged in all the right places and flared in all the right places with a low back and bling strappy shoulders
The Flowers
My mother in law did our flowers which had a variety of lavendar/ purple and blue flowers in line with our colour scheme
Highlight of the wedding
It all goes so fast, I think our pastor was great and iIreally enjoyed the service. Our dance was something I was really stressed about but honestly had fun with and was different. I think the shoe game was fun as well – the highlight of course had to be saying I Do to the love of my life 🙂
Was there any drama
I am very blessed to be able to say no, everyone had a great time, no drama, no spats, everything went down really well 🙂
The Honeymoon
The most amazing time ever, we went to Bali, stayed on the island and explored around Bali a lot, we did every activity you can imagine form drinking Civet coffee to snorkeling with Manta Rays, parasailing, an underwater Buddha temple and saw the cultural dances. It was the most incredible experience for both of us
Tell us about your photographer and favourite photo
Our photographer was JC Crafford, what we both really enjoyed was that there was no time limit to the photos so we got to do an evening shoot as well
There are so many stunning photos I dont really have a favourite, I really loved all the first look photos with my parents and groom
