I had the pleasure to photograph Quintus & Sonja’s wedding day at Valverde Eco Hotel, in Muldersdrift. Our video team also worked with me on this day, it makes things so much easier, sharing ideas, making jokes and just having a fun time. I’m more comfortable shooting a wedding with our video team then other video teams, we know how each other work and can thus keep conflict to a minimum, I’ve got so many things on my mind when I’m photographing a wedding the last thing I want to do is stress if I’m in the way of the videographer. It was a beautiful sunny day with smiles and laughter all round, especially at the ceremony with a great marriage officer which I quite enjoyed. I could see the love these two have for each other is pure and true, once they kissed and were officially man and wife, both of them looked so happy and proud. The photoshoot went great, I scouted the place before for a few new areas, I sticked to my process to what I do best and feel comfortable with and got the shots I wanted, further more my job was made so much easier with Quintus & Sonja being so natural in front of the camera. With a chilly wind turning up we all went into the reception, were Quintus and his best man surprised us all with a performance of a few songs which were stunning and which set the mood for an relaxed and wonderful evening.
