Sorex Estate Wedding

Robert and Adiele got married at Sorex Estate in Centurion, Pretoria on 13 October 2012. I was there early to photograph Adiele while she was getting ready at the parents house. This was a very nice gesture to me, very few brides actually still get ready at their parents’s home. It is familiar surroundings, nice and relaxed and the bride get some time to gather herself on her way to the venue.

I worked with Adiele’s make-up artist before, and was very glad to see her. A good make-up artist make such a big difference to a wedding photographer. There was a huge downpour of rain the previous day and I couldn’t get near the river  to photograph Robert and Adiele. Luckily there are some beautiful other parts on the estate where a wedding photographer can photograph couples. The reception was beautiful. Sincere friends who gave excellent speeches, had a good party and throughly enjoyed themselves.
