A very special Wedding at Oakfield Farm
This is the blogpost of Kyle & Sagree’s wedding at Oakfield Farm, a beautiful place, a beautiful couple and an absolutely stunning wedding. I am sure there was nothing they didn’t thing about for this wedding. (The only thing they couldn’t plan was the bitterly cold weather that shortened our photo shoot a bit) Everything was beautiful and just perfect. (If you have a very emotional groom and a beautiful bride then I always consider the wedding perfect…LOL)
We did their pre wedding shoot as wel, and it was then already clear that these two love the camera and the camera loves them. The two of them fit together like a hand in a glove.
Sagree & Kyle, we just love you two, your love for each other, your dedication towards each other and your excitement about your big day. Thanks for making us a part of your most special day
I asked them a couple of questions about their wedding at Oakfield farm and how they’ve met.
How did you meet?
- Workplace
Tell us about the proposal
- It was a very exciting day for me. As I finally decided to ask Sagree to Marry me i needed to find the courage to pop the question. I decided to take her to a resturant where i had organised with the owners to create a message on the Menu Board ” Sagree will you marry me” . This message was of course hidden away with a table setup of champagne and rose pedals all over. As i was about to go on my knees i gave the waiter the sign and he than revealed the Menu Board which than got her into Shock mode, I than got on my knees and asked if she would marry me…
Describe your wedding day, anything specific that you will always remember
- Our wedding day was the best day of our lives. We had one to many special moments and everything was perfect. I will never forget when she walked down the aisle how much emotions went through my body and how I ended up crying. It was memorable in every way. The music, food, company of friends and family and cosiness of the evening made it even more special.
The dress
- Never an easy task. After looking for weeks for the perfect dress we finally came across the one. We found it in a small boutique and immediately fell in love with it.
The Flowers
- it was always going to be lillies..Sagree’s favourite flowers
Highlight of the wedding
- The fact that we had our family and friends from all over to join us on our special day was priceless
Was there any drama
- No Drama
The Honeymoon
- We had a fantastic time in Thailand where we experienced the different cultures, lifestyle and tourist attractions. We were roaming in the streets of Patong Beach and enjoying the cocktails on the beach front. It was truly amazing and was a dream.
Tell us about your photographer & Videographer
- We had a very good Photographer and videographer team who made us feel comfortable on our special day.They were all over the show taking photos and capturing our moments. We are happy to have worked with JC, Surika and Timothy. A very personalised and modern approach adopted
Who did your make-up and hair?
- Makeup by Monique was utilised for our hair. On the makeup side we had Chris from Estee Lauder
Any other suppliers that you want to mention? – The efficiency and effectiveness of the entire Oakfield team on the day was amazing
Do you have any advice for other brides/grooms-to-be?
- Stay positive that everything will eventually fall in place and come together. People always say its stressful, trust me it is. It is important that you have a check list of everything to do and always make sure that you try and do things in advance. Planning a wedding is allot of fun and you learn allot about your partner. You must enjoy the planning and be open to compromise between the partners. More importantly both the bride and groom should actively plan the wedding to make it their special day.
What was your inspiration behind your overall wedding decor and colour choices?
- We always wanted a garden wedding as the brides loves flowers . We wanted a fairy-tale setting that symbolised our love and relationship but that integrated our guests into our special day. We also decided to incorporate some of our favour colours in the wedding, which is orange yellow and green. We wanted a classical but yet modern look and feel.
